Package Preparation and likely Test Chronology
To ensure the highest accuracy of your reports at CC Saha MediCentre, please follow these standard protocols:
1. Pre-Test Preparation
Fasting: A strict 8 to 12-hour overnight fast is required for accurate LFT and FBS results. Do not consume anything except water.
Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 24–48 hours before the test, as it can temporarily spike GGT and enzyme levels.
Medication: Inform the lab technician if you are on blood thinners (for P. Time) or any supplements.
2. Test Chronology
Morning Sample Collection: Blood is drawn in a single sitting while in a fasting state.
Home Collection (Optional): Stool and urine samples can be collected at home using the sterile containers provided by the centre and brought in with the blood sample.
Processing: LFT and P. Time samples are prioritized to maintain the integrity of sensitive enzymes and clotting factors.
Reporting: Comprehensive results are usually validated and delivered within 24 hours.
3. Additional Information
Sample Integrity: We use specialized citrated tubes for P. Time to ensure accurate clotting measurement.
Preventive Care: This profile is highly recommended for individuals with a history of fatty liver, regular alcohol intake, or those on long-term medication.
Consultation: Post-report, our specialists can help correlate these markers with your lifestyle for better hepatic wellness.
