Package Preparation and likely Test Chronology
To ensure the highest accuracy of your reports at CC Saha MediCentre, please follow these standard protocols:
1. Pre-Test Preparation
Fasting: A strict 8 to 12-hour overnight fast is mandatory. You may drink plain water, but avoid tea, coffee, or snacks.
Medication: If you are on diabetic medication, consult your doctor on whether to take it before or after the Fasting/PP samples.
Meal for PP: For the Post-Prandial (PP) test, eat a regular balanced meal. The 2-hour timer starts from the first bite of your meal.
2. Test Chronology
Sample 1 (Fasting): Blood and urine samples are collected first thing in the morning.
Meal Break: Patient consumes their breakfast/lunch.
Sample 2 (Post-Prandial): Blood is drawn exactly 2 hours after the start of the meal. No heavy physical activity is recommended during this waiting period.
Sample Handling: Samples are processed in our temperature-controlled lab to ensure glucose stability.
3. Additional Information
Sample Handling: We use vacuum-sealed tubes (Vacutainers) to prevent contamination and ensure precise results.
Reporting: Digital reports are typically available via email or WhatsApp within 6 to 8 hours of the final sample collection.
Expert Review: We recommend sharing these results with your consultant at CC Saha Medi Centre for a personalized health roadmap.
