Package Preparation and likely Test Chronology
Fasting and Morning Samples: Patients should fast for 8-12 hours before arriving for their checkup to ensure accurate results for blood glucose, lipid profile, and other blood tests. Early morning is ideal for fasting blood draws.
Blood Sample Collection: The majority of blood tests are collected first thing in the morning while fasting, including Glucose Fasting, HbA1c, Lipid Profile, Liver and Kidney Function Tests, Electrolytes, Urea, Iron, Calcium, Uric Acid, and Thyroid Profile.
Post Breakfast Glucose: After blood draw and ECG, the patient consumes a regular breakfast followed by a blood sample taken 2 hours later to measure postprandial glucose.
Patient Instructions: At CC Saha Medicentre we request the patients to inform about any medications taken, as some may affect test results. Hydration is encouraged, but caffeine, alcohol, and strenuous activity should be avoided prior to testing.
