Tests Preparation and likely Chronology
Fasting: Patients should fast for 8-12 hours before the test day to ensure accurate glucose, lipid profile, and related metabolic tests.
Morning Blood Sample Collection: Blood samples for fasting glucose, HbA1c, lipid profile, liver & kidney function, electrolytes, iron, calcium, uric acid, thyroid profile, and PSA testing will be collected early in the morning.
ECG Test: Conducted after blood draws, to monitor electrical heart activity while the patient is in a rested state.
Post Breakfast Glucose Test: After blood collection and ECG, patients consume their regular breakfast, and a postprandial glucose test is performed two hours after.
Instructions: Patients visitng CC Saha Medicentre for the tests should avoid caffeine, alcohol, or strenuous activities before testing and inform the lab about ongoing medications.
