Package Preparation and likely Test Chronology

To ensure the highest accuracy of your reports at CC Saha MediCentre, please follow these standard protocols:
1. Pre-Test Preparation
Fasting: A strict 8 to 12-hour overnight fast is required for the Fasting Sugar sample.
The PP Meal: For the Post-Prandial (PP) test, eat a balanced meal as recommended by your nutritionist. The 2-hour countdown begins from the first bite of this meal.
Stay Hydrated: You may drink plain water during the fasting period. Avoid sugary beverages or caffeinated drinks.
2. Test Chronology
Morning Fasting Sample: Blood is drawn first thing in the morning to check baseline glucose and viral markers.
Meal Intake: The patient consumes their meal (Breakfast or Lunch).
Waiting Period: The patient returns to the lab exactly 2 hours after starting their meal for the second blood draw.
Sample Processing: Viral markers and blood grouping are processed in our high-precision serology department.
Reporting: Results are typically consolidated and delivered within 24 hours.
3. Additional Information
Safety First: Screening for HIV, HBsAg, and HCV is a standard global safety protocol to protect the newborn.
Rh Factor Awareness: Knowing the mother’s blood group early allows our consultants to prepare for Rh-negative management if necessary.
Digital Convenience: Reports can be accessed via our online portal or sent directly to your obstetrician for immediate review.
